Roundup of Latest Updates from Disney

From special offers, the return of popular tours, and the reopening of Walt Disney World resorts, there have been a number of updates recently announced by Disney. Here are some quick highlights of the recent updates for some of Disney’s popular vacation spots.

New Offer Released for Walt Disney World

If you are planning on heading to Walt Disney World this spring or summer you may be able to take advantage of Disney’s latest offer. There is a savings of up to $500 on some 5-nights or longer stays at select Disney resorts. The greatest savings is for March 6 – July 7 at most Deluxe category resorts. Stays at Moderate level resorts may be eligible for a $40 per night savings and some Value resort packages qualify for a $20 per night savings. Virtual Queue No Longer in Use for Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure

The newest attraction at EPCOT, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, is now using a standby line instead of a virtual queue. Ever since this attraction opened on October 1, 2021, guests have had to try to snag a ride time using the My Disney Experience account. Now, all that has gone away, at least for now, and you can wait in line to experience this cute attraction. You may also purchase Individual Lightning Lane to skip the standby line.

Caring for the Giants is Back at Animal Kingdom

Several fan-favorite tours are returning to Walt Disney World including Caring for the Giants. On this 60-minute tour, participants meet with a knowledgeable guide who will provide insight into the inner workings of the African elephant herd at Animal Kingdom. Your family with get a glimpse into the day-to-day care for these amazing animals. The cost is $35 + tax per person and reservations can be made 60 days prior to the start of your Disney vacation. Other tours returning include Disney’s Keys to the Kingdom, Wild Africa Trek, Up Close with Rhinos, and Savor the Savanna.

Escape to Aulani this Spring and Save

If you are looking for a vacation alternative from theme parks or cruises, Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa may just be your family’s next great vacation. Located on the island of O’ahu, you can experience sparkling pools, lazy river rides, and even spotting some favorite Disney Characters. You will also enjoy fun activities like paddle boarding or snorkeling in the Resort’s secluded cove. Guests can save up to 20% on select rooms for stays of 5 or more nights or 15% on 4-night stays from April 16-June 5, 2022. Plus, when Guests book through February 6, 2022, and arrive between May 10-June 1, 2022, stays of 4 or more nights include a $150 Resort credit. Disney Visa Cardmembers can enjoy greater savings when staying May 10-June 5, 2022.

Walt Disney World’s All Star Sports will reopen on March 31, 2022. Once this resort reopens, all the Disney resorts will be open for the first time since 2020. During the closure, All Star Sports has undergone complete room renovation including new bedding that will have the rooms updated from two double-sized to two queen-sized beds. All carpet has been removed (yay!) and replaced with new flooring and the bathrooms have been updated.
